6e Bataillons Colonial de Commandos Parachutistes.

The French paratroopers in Indochina were the post-WWII elite forces of the French army.

1er Bataillon Etranger de Parachutistes, 1er BEP

1er BEP was created on 1 July 1948 in Algeria, arrived in Indochina on the 12 November 1948 and fought mainly in the Tonkin region (North Vietnam).

6e BPC, "Opération Castor" Dien Bien Phu Novembre 1953

Opération Castor was the French airborne operation to established a fortified air-land base at Dien Bien Phu.
